Everything you're wondering about trehk

What is trehk?

trehk is an app for intercity carpooling and package delivery in Ghana. It matches travelers heading the same way — Accra to Kumasi, Kumasi to Tamale, and more — so you can share a ride, split the cost, or send a package along a route someone's already driving.

How does intercity carpooling work?

Drivers already making a trip list their route, seats, and fare. Riders search that route, book an open seat, and pay in-app. You meet at the agreed pickup point, travel together, and split the cost — cheaper than a private car, and no waiting for a trotro to fill up.

Is it safe? Are drivers verified?

Every driver goes through KYC identity verification before they can carry a passenger or package. You can see your driver's details before you travel, and share your live trip with family so someone always knows where you are.

How do I pay — Mobile Money or cash?

You can pay securely in-app with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, or card. We're also evaluating a cash option for select routes closer to launch — we'll be upfront in-app about exactly what's supported when you book.

Can I send packages, not just people?

Yes. trehk isn't just for riders — you can send a package along a route a driver is already traveling, track it from drop-off to delivery, and have the recipient confirm receipt in-app. Often cheaper and faster than a courier for intercity drop-offs.

Which routes are available?

We're launching with Ghana's busiest intercity corridors — routes like Accra–Kumasi, Accra–Ho, Accra–Cape Coast, Accra–Takoradi, Accra–Tamale, and Kumasi–Sunyani — with more added as demand grows. Join the waitlist and tell us your route; it helps us decide where to launch next.

When does trehk launch?

trehk is in final preparation ahead of launch on the App Store and Google Play. Join the waitlist and we'll notify you the moment it's live for your route — waitlist members get early access.

How much does it cost?

Fares are split between everyone sharing the trip — an Accra–Kumasi seat starts around GH₵80, well below a private taxi or hired car. Exact pricing depends on your route and how many people are sharing, and you always see the fare before you book.

Ready to make your next intercity trip easier?

trehk is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Join the waitlist to be first to know when carpooling and package delivery launch in your city.
